Andrew and Eliza are my Great-Great-Grandparents.
I do not know as much about them as I would like. Most of this information was given to me by my mother and is not verified, yet.
I am told Andrew Spiers was born August 9th, 1844 in Down County, North Ireland. His parents are James Spiers and Margaret Andrews. They lived in "The flush" (I do not know what this is either).
He married Eliza Jane McKee who was born on July 12, 184 and died Dec 1, 1910. Her parents are not known and this is the only information I have about her.
They had five children, when Andrew was between the age of 36 and 45 years old. They are Margaret Spiers (1880-1935), Elizabeth Jane Spiers (1882-1960), John McKee Spiers (1884-1950), James Spiers (1887-1963), and Andrew Spiers (1889-1919).
When his son John was married in 1912, he listed Andrew as his father who was a farmer, in Clemneghery, Banbridge, Down, Ireland. Andrew was 68 at the time.
Two years later he was listed as next of kin when his son James, went off to war, while he was still living in Ireland, and his son living in Canada.
He died at the age of 85 on Jun 3, 1930 in Clenmeghery, Down, Ireland.
He lived through the first world war, but was too old to serve.
